A Perfect Wedding

Finally wedding pictures. These are just a few. It was a wonderful day.

Kathleen did my hair and make up. She did an awesome job. I was so glad that she was able to drive from Raleigh and come help us with our hair. She is such a sweet person.
I had the best bridesmaids. Hadley my matron of honor did everything possible to make the day about me and perfect. I love her so much. I wish I had a tape of her toast. It was so special. She drove overnight Thursday to be there Friday. All the way from Miami. She is amazing. She is the BEST friend.
I also had my lifelong friend Camille. We grew up next door to each other. She was so sweet. She has come to every shower and get together. She even hosted the bachelorette party. Third was my cousin, Tiffany. Growing up we always had a strong friendship. I love her so much. She helped with the bachelorette party. She brought the penis stuff. Ha Ha.
During the wedding and reception they all three made everything about me. It was so nice. Hadley kept getting me drinks and she even found a piece of cake for Hart.
I love Hart so much. These two weeks we have been married have been the best of my life. I feel so loved. I have never been so happy. On the wedding day he was so sweet. We took some outside photos (I may add later) and he suffered through it even though he was sweating so much. He did a good job. We had a fun time talking and me singing during the long song for the unity sand. We thought the DJ was going to cut it short, but it went so long. At the time I felt bad for everyone having to sit through it, but now it is one of my favorite memories. And another memory no one will forget is the preacher calling him Duncan throughout the ceremony. I wanted to repeat with Hart in place of it, but I was too chicken. I was worried what the preacher would say.
My wedding day was perfect because I married the perfect man for me.

Shower

I had such a fun time at my shower. My aunt Donna threw it for me at her house. It was the best shower. She served Mimosas which is Champagne and Orage Juice. Also there was some great food! My cousin Lindsey, and my Aunt Teresa also helped. I was so happy to get a lot of nice things. Here are a few photos.

45 Days to go!

Hart and I have gotten a lot done, but there are still things to do. We met with the DJ on Sunday night. There were so many decisions to make. I had only picked my father daughter and first dance. I did not think about the song for the garter and bouquet toss and everything else he mentioned. I really like our caterer. She did an open house for my parents' business when we moved buildings. I was sad that we could not get our pastor, but the pastor at my Nannie's church is going to do it. I know him pretty well. He is a nice guy. We have made a deposit on the location. We sent out save the dates. If I missed anyone let me know. I have gotten my dress. It is perfect. I would post it, but Hart may come on here and see it. I have gone with my bridesmaids to get their dresses. I chose a pretty blue called cornflower. All 3 girls (Hadley, Camille, and my cousin Tiffany) have a different dress, but they are all blue and strapless. I think they each found the best one for them. I can't wait to see Hadley's in person. It looks like it will be beautiful! I am not sure what flowers to do. We still need to talk to the florist. I met with one and it was going to cost way too much. I heard about someone that is cheap and good, and I have an appointment with her on the 29th. I sent off for our invitations, I do not know how long it takes for them to get here. When they arrive I will have to address them. We over invited, but hope that it will be ok. I am worried about running out of tables for people. We paid a deposit to the cake guy. I think the cake will be pretty. I saw one that he did similar to what he is going to do for me and it was nice. I hope the blue matches the dresses. I gave him a piece of ribbon with the color. We have made arrangements for the honeymoon. We are going on a Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean. There have been so many things to do. I hope that everything can get done in 45 days!

6-7-8

My wedding date has changed to June 7. I am excited to move it up, but it is going to be stressful getting everything done in time. We are going to have the ceremony and reception at Thalian Hall. I want to send out a save the date this week. It is not much notice for people, but I am ready to be married to Hart. I want to live together so bad. He is such a good guy. I think I am really fortunate to have him in my life.
I think our count is 210 right now. But yesterday Hart's mom said there may be more she wants to add. The place only holds 200. I am sure that there will be people that will not come. I have made a deposit for the caterer and Thalian Hall. There are so many more things to do. I wish Hadley was here to help. But I have a couple of girls here that are going to help. I hope that the date works for Kathleen. She is going to help me with make up and hair. She is the best! My friend Briana is going to take pictures. I think she will do a good job. I am sure it will all come together, but it is a little scary to think I have less than 3 months to do everything.

Lydia

My brother, Matt and his wife Mary had a beautiful baby girl, Lydia, on St. Patrick's Day. Lydia was born March 17th at 2:40 PM. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 18 1/2" long. I am a proud aunt. I love to see Will look at her and try to touch her. I am glad to have a nephew and a niece to spoil.

Weight Watchers

Next week I am going to start Weight Watchers. I want to lose some weight before the wedding. I have wanted to do this for awhile, but not by myself. My good friend Ashley has been going, so I am going to go with her. I hope this works for me, I am not able to do it by myself. Since dating Hart I have gained so much weight. He likes to eat out a lot. When I went to try on dresses I was so sad at how I looked, because I was so small the first time. Hopefully I will get in a smaller size in a few weeks.

Possible Change of the Wedding Location

We were set for Thalian Hall where I have given a $200 deposit that I will not get back. Now there has been an offer to use someone's land in Burgaw, 30 minutes outside Wilmington. It is supposed to be absolutely beautiful. I have not seen it yet. I am not sure if having everything there would save money or not. I would want a tent, a dance floor, and then tables and chairs. But it would be a lot less formal and I like that. I would still wear a wedding dress, but Hart could wear khakis and a nice white shirt. The other thing that I like... which is silly... I could have the date that I want: 06-07-08. I like that. But a June wedding gives us less time to plan. I go back and forth. I think I will know better after I actually see it. I will try to remember to take a camera and post some photos on here. Some days I want to just go to the court house to get married.
